Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate is a chemical compound with the formula CaCO3. Pure CaCO3 is an odorless, fine white powder. It is insoluble in water and stable at normal temperatures.
Calcium carbonate is produced via two types of processes:
a) mechanical crushing of natural limestone to produce calcium carbonate which called heavy calcium carbonate

b) calcining of selected limestone to produce calcium carbonate which called light calcium carbonate
