Duplex 2205 Stainless Steel Sheet

 Duplex 2205 stainless steel constitutes of 22% Cr, 3% Mo, 5-6% Ni, and rest nitrogen. It is a high corrosion resistant alloy characterized by large strength and hardness. This alloy offers pitting and crevice corrosion resistance to austenitic stainless steel in the entire rusty environments.

Features of Duplex 2205 stainless steel sheet

1. Duplex 2205 has large corrosion and erosion protection nature.
2. Low value of coefficient of thermal expansion
3. Large thermal conductance
4. Double yield strength as compare to austenitic stainless steel alloys.  This feature enables the manufacturer save the cost and mass of alloy as compared to austenitic steel alloys.
5. Duplex 2205 is best to use under -50°F to 600°F temperature. Thus this alloy can be used for high temperature applications though raise in temperature more than the described limit requires to follow certain limitations especially in welding operations.
