Serrated Grating

Serrated opening bar grating provides a non-slipping texture allowing passage for light, air circulation and drainage, ideally used as flooring and walkway in factory or industrial workshops where safety tread is needed. Serrated grating is mostly made of carbon steel galvanized or non galvanized supplied with a common outline size range of 900 x 1400 mm, 900 x900 mm, 900 x 1200 mm, 1000 x 650mm and 1100 x 700 mm. The metal gratings with one side serrated are supplied by four bonding ways: welded, swage locked, press locked or riveted.

Applications

Light duty serrated steel gratings find popular applications in walkways, operating plants, highways and bridge platforms and walkways, machinery floors, refineries, tank stairways and power plants.

Technical Notes

Serrated grating can also be made of stainless steel for specific applications.
Finishes can be galvanized or manufacturer's standard black paint at the discretion of the architect. It can also be painted by request.

Manufacturing tolerances:
Cross bar alignment and spacing
Cross bar shall not vary more than 1/8" in 12" either direction from perpendicular alignment with bearing bars.
Overall dimensions and squareness
Width is overall lengths of cross bars at opposite ends of panels.
