Property:

Sorbitol is a low calorie sweetener, it can be obtained by glucose reduction, and is also widely distributed in the nature, such as in pear, peach, apple. Sorbitol content is about 1% ~ 2%. Its sweetness is same as glucose, but can it gives a person strong feeling. It can be slowly absorbed by the body, while blood glucose values are not increased. In addition, it is a better keeping wet agent and a surfactant.

Applications:

Sorbitol is used as moisturizer in many products, and can be added to confectionery, bakery foods and chocolate, to well avoid food getting dry or hard by its moisture & stable capacity.

Sorbitol is very stable and not active in the chemical reaction, and will not have Maillard Browning Reaction when get heating.

Sorbitol is good to produce biscuits with bright colors and no need to worry about browning color. And it is also good to mix used with other addictives such as sucrose, gel, protein and vegetable fat.

Sorbitol can be used in many other products such as gums, confectionery, frozen dessert, biscuit cake, & sugar-coat, and also some oral hygiene products such as toothpaste and mouthwash etc.
